Fatemeh Ghasemi’s hat-trick helped Iran notched a 5-0 goals victory over United Arab Emirates (UAE) in their Group-C match of the AFC U-16 Women’s Championship 2017 Qualifiers at Bangabandhu National Stadium on Wednesday.
With the day’s victory, Iran secured six points from three matches with two wins and one loss, starting their campaign with a 3-0 loss against the host Bangladesh while came back dashingly with a 9-0 victory over Kyrgyzstan in the 2nd match.
UAE made their early exit as they collected only one point from three matches with a 2-2 draw against Singapore in their first match, then a 5-0 goal defeat against Chinese Taipei in the 2nd match.
In the day’s match, forward Fatemeh Ghasemi scored her three goals in the 23rd, 37th and 83rd minutes.
Midfielder Roghayeh Jalal Nasab scored the 2nd one in the 25th minute while another midfielder Marzieh Feizi scored the 5th one in the stopgap time, after 90 minutes, for Iran.
Iran reduced to 10 players in the 51st minute as their defender Golnoosh Khosravi got marching ordered for a direct red card.
