IPDC donates Tk 2cr to Prime Minister’s relief fund

IPDC Finance Limited, the first ever private sector financial institution in Bangladesh, contributes Tk 2 crore to the Prime Minister’s Relief and Welfare Fund.
Md Abdul Karim, Chairman of IPDC Finance and former Principal Secretary, handed over the cheque on behalf of IPDC Finance at the Prime Minister’s Office recently.
Dr Ahmad Kaikaus, Principal Secretary to Prime Minister, accepted the cheque on behalf of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who joined the handover ceremony herself via video conference and thanked the delegation for coming forward in support of the adversely affected marginal income population.
Despite the challenging speculations of the economy, IPDC has been relentlessly working towards helping the society combat the ongoing pandemic. In association with various trustworthy organizations, IPDC, so far has been providing food and supplies across the country.
IPDC also introduced very timely innovative products and solutions such as Manobota Deposit scheme, wherein IPDC provides one month food supply for an underprivileged family against the deposit of one lakh Taka. Besides, IPDC enabled working capital of approximately 40 crore Taka for the retailers under IPDC DANA, country’s only digital retail financing platform.
Mominul Islam, Managing Director and CEO of IPDC stated, “At the time of great peril, IPDC is humbled to stand by the disadvantaged and marginal people of the country by contributing Tk 2 Crore to Prime Minister’s Relief and Welfare Fund.”
