Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu on Monday said BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia has three bad habits-doing business with religion, distorting history and killing people – as Pakistanis had in 1971.
Inu came up with the remark while addressing a reception at the Jatiya Press Club, accorded to former NAP presidium member MA Gani who recently joined Bangladesher Samyabadi Dal.
He said, Pakistanis during the Liberation War had three bad habits, doing business with religion, distorting history and killing people.
Ziaur Rahman and Khandaker Moshtaque also had these bad habits and as their descendent, BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia also inherited the bad habits, he added.
Inu, also Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal president, said whenever the nation is moving ahead with an aim to meet various commitments, BNP unleashes violence. “We could’ve progressed a lot more if Khaleda Zia hadn’t sabotaged,” he said.
The Information Minister also said Khaleda Zia is not ready for election, she is only hatching conspiracies.
Bangladesher Samyabadi Dal general secretary and former Industries Minister Dilip Barua and its politburo member Dhiren Singh also spoke on the occasion.
