Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu on Tuesday said that only a satisfied work force could ensure a country’ development.
“They should have a respectable wage and not a subsistence wage,” he said, speaking at a May Day rally at the Bangabandhu Avenue in the city.
The minister said militants, fundamentalist and other reactionary forces wanted to divide the working class and keep women confined to the home. Therefore, it was important to fight communalism along with the struggle for a minimum national wage.
