Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu on Saturday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the demise of Obaidul Gani Chandan, a noted rhymester of the country.
In a condolence message, he said the nation lost an exceptional talent in creative literature and culture at a very early age.
The nation will remember Obaidul Gani Chandan through his undying verses of rhythmic expression that won millions of hearts, said Hasanul Haq Inu.
His devoted journalism in print and electronic media will also remain as an inspiration for young journalists, the minister added.
Inu prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed deep sympathy to the Chandan’s bereaved family members.
Besides, Martuza Ahmed, Secretary of the Ministry of Information, also expressed deep condolence at the demise of noted rhymester and journalist Obaidul Gani Chandan.
