Awami League Publicity and Publication Secretary Dr. Hassan Mahmud said some intruders are instigating the students of private universities for agitation.
“It is known to all of us some intruders are instigating the private university students for movement. People in disguise are provoking them to launch movement,” he said this on Friday while speaking at a discussion held at Khawja Nazim Uddin auditorium at Segunbagicha in the city.
Bangladesh Swadhinata Parishad arranged the discussion on government’s success and the current political affairs.
Presided over by Bangladesh Swadhinata Parishad President Hasibur Rahman Manik, the meeting was also addressed by AL Sub-committee Assistant Secretary Advocate Baloram Poddar and Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote General Secretary Arun Sarkar Rana.
Hassan Mahmud urged the private university students to wage movement against the irrational increase of tuition fees, not against value added tax (VAT).
