Sylhet Bureau :
All activities of the Sylhet International Trade Fair have been temporarily suspended from 10 pm on Wednesday.
The decision was taken by the organizers of the fair today (March 16).
Organizers said in a notice that all fair activities will be closed from Wednesday to prevent the spread of coronavirus and take precautions.
It is to be noted that the Sylhet Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a monthly fair at Sheikh Russell Mini Stadium in Shahi Eidgah, east of the city.
Foreign Minister Dr. A.K. Abdul Momen formally inaugurated the fair on the night of March 8. The fair was attended by 155 stalls and 35 pavilions.
