To create a platform for the academics, researchers, employers and graduates for networking and discussing the skills gap agenda Daffodil International University (DIU) is going to organize ‘International Summit on Employability & Soft Skills’ from 23-25 March 2017.
The objective of the summit is to share the research innovations and recent developments for improving employability and soft skills among the graduates and to provide an avenue for the training of trainers on innovative educational products and projects. The theme of the summit is “Developing Employability and Soft Skills among graduates.
All these were informed on Thursday in a Meet the Press held at DIU Auditorium. Professor Dr. Yousuf M Islam, Vice-Chancellor, Daffodil International University presided over the ‘Meet the Press’ program.
The Meet The Press was also addressed, among others, by Professor Rafiqul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics, Professor Dr. A M M Hamidur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Science, Professor Dr. Farid A Sobhani, Director, HRDI,. Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director ( Student Affairs), Dr. Touhid Bhauyan, Head, Department of Software Engineering and Sheikh Abdur Rahim, Head, Department of Real Estate.
It was also informed in the meeting that the purpose of the summit is to address the skills gap by launching educational products and educational methods that inculcate thinking skills, interpersonal skills, personal skills, communication skills and a sense of ownership and responsibility.
