On the occasion of International Right to Information Day, an exchange meeting was held at Circuit House Conference Room on the evening of September 30 in collaboration with The Hunger Project, jointly organized by District Information Office, Citizen Sujan for Good Governance.
Deputy Commissioner Md. Abu Zafar was the chief guest. Special guests were Mayor of Lalmonirhat Municipality Rezaul Karim Swapan, District Information Officer Mamun Aur Rashid, presided over by Sujan District President Guerrilla Leader Dr. SM Shafiqul Islam Kanu. Rajesh Dey, Sujan’s Regional Coordinator, delivered the welcome address.
Ad spoke to take part in the open discussion. Chitta Ranjan Roy, Morshedul Islam, Regional Coordinator of TIB, Majed Masood, Journalist, Mahfuz Saju. The meeting called for providing information in a self-motivated manner. Video footage was displayed by the District Information Office at the meeting.
The meeting was attended by 40 people including government officials, lawyers, public representatives, teachers, social workers and journalists.
