Int’l Nurses Day observed in Faridpur

Nurses of Faridpur General Hospitals brought out a procession marking the International Nurses Day yesterday morning. The day was observed around the world marking the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale who is the founder of Modern Nursing. The theme of this year is “Nurses: A Voice to Lead – Health is a Human Right”. More than 100 nurses of Faridpur General Hospitals brought out a procession from Hospital Area . Later, a discussion meeting was also held at the hospital auditorium while nursing Matron Feroja Begum in the chair. Deputy Civil Surgeon Md. Afzal Hossain addressed the meeting as chief guest and residential medical officer Dr. Gonesh Kumar Ajarwala, Dr. Usha Ranjan Chakrabarti, nursing Matron Saleha Begum, and deputy nursing Matron Rajia Begum were present at the event as special guests.
