Department of Communication and Journalism, University of Chittagong will host a three-day international conference on media and communication at the university campus beginning from Tuesday.
The theme of the conference is ‘Media, Communication and Journalism: Prospects and Challenges in Bangladesh and Beyond’, said a press release issued on Friday.
Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu will attend the inaugural session of the conference as the chief guest at AK Khan Law Faculty Auditorium on Tuesday morning.
CU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury will chair the inaugural session while Bengali daily Dainik Azadi Editor MA Malek will be the special guest.
University Grants Commission Chairman Prof Abdul Mannan will attend as the chief guest in the closing session while CU Pro Vice-chancellor Prof Dr Shireen Akhter will be attending.
Western Marine Shipyard Ltd Managing Director Engr Md Sakhawat Hossain will present as the special guest at the closing session to be held on Thursday afternoon.
