Int’l Kaizen Convention begins today

The International Kaizen Convention 2014 would be held today at Westin Hotel in the city’s Gulshan area.
State Minister for Public Administration Begum Ismat Ara Sadique will be present at the convention as the chief guest, A Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre (BPATC) and JICA are jointly organizing the event under the project for Improving Public Service Through Total Quality Management.
Impressive success stories like “Beggar-Free Upazila”, “Organized land Record Room” or “Clean School Walls” will be presented at the convention and cases of improvement would be shared among participants including the international guests from the UK and Japan.
Mayor of Sanjo City in Japan Isato Kunisada who will join the event as the special guest, will share and appreciate the Kaizen Initiative in Bangladesh.
Sanjo City will organize the Inter-City Kaizen Convention next year in Japan and invite Bangladeshi counterparts to share their experience of improvement endeavors in public sector.
Among others, Chief Representative of JICA Bangladesh Office Mikio Hataeda and Councilor of Japan embassy in Dhaka Mitsutake Numahata will also attend the function as the especial guests, the press release said.
