The Board of Investment (BoI), the apex investment promotion agency of the government, will organise an ‘International Investors Forum Bangladesh 2014’ here on September 17.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the event at Sonargaon Hotel, according to BoI.
Cabinet members, including Finance Minister AMA Muhith and Advisers to the Prime Minister and top business leaders, will speak at the programme.
The forum will be a platform for regional and national investors to
exchange ideas with a view to increasing intra-regional investment flows from South and East Asia, as well as attract new investments to key sectors.
The forum will highlight the latest enhancements in Bangladesh’s investment climate and highlight specific investment opportunities in the agribusiness sector, as well economic zones development opportunities.
The B2B meeting will also be held for matchmaking between the local and foreign investors to have successful investment outcomes.
This forum will gather representatives from the relevant public authorities, local and foreign investors, international development organisations, investment promotion agencies, foreign diplomatic missions, international experts, foreign and local media.
