Int’l Flight Safety seminar concludes

The International Flight Safety Seminar has concluded in the capital with a call to make bridge between civil and military aviators on perspective of flight safety challenges since the airspace is used jointly.
Bangladesh Air Force and Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh (CAAB) jointly organized the seminar with the theme “Safety is not only risk management it is a Mindset” at Falcon Hall, Tejgaon in the city, participated by 623 delegates from 12 countries.
Major General (Retd) Tarique Ahmed Siddique, Security Adviser to the Prime Minister awarded certificates among the participants as the chief guest at the closing ceremony on Wednesday, a press release said on Thursday.
Siddique extended his appreciations to all related organizations for creating the opportunity for sharing experience within civil and military professionals.
“It was a matter of great pride to see BAF operating in different UN missions successfully for over 20 years without any major accident and incident,” he said.
Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Operations and Training) Air Vice Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, CAAB Chairman Air Vice Marshal M Naim Hassan and Director Flight Safety Air Commodore M Mortuza Kamal also spoke on the occasion.
part from Bangladesh, the other participating countries were China, India, France, Sri Lanka, Jordan, Oman, Bahrain, Kenya, Maldives, Nepal and Russia.
Representatives from Ministry of Defense, Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, Armed Forces Division (AFD), Bangladesh Police, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Coastguard, different Flying Clubs, Padma Oil Company, MIST, BUP,
Senakallan Sanstha and all civil airlines of Bangladesh participated in the seminar.
