The International Day of Older Persons was observed at Banaripara in Barisal on Tuesday. The function was jointly organised by Zul Asfia Memorial Hospital and Banaripara Diabetic Samity at is auditorium.
Speakers of the programme called for safe, peaceful and taking care to the older persons in family, society and in the country.
Mansur Ahmed Chowdhury, former member of United Nation disable right committee was chief guest in the programme.
Advocate MA Jalil Hawladar, Founder President of Zul Asfia Memorial Hospital presided over the programme.
Special guests were KM Masud, Chief Executive of Rainbow Aid, Bangladesh, Zahid Ahmed Chowdhury Bipul, founder Chairman of Jhalak Foundation, Sheikh Abdullah Shadid, Banaripara Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Rashed Sumon of Banaripara Press Club, and Shahzadi Begum, Upazila Social Welfare Officer among others, were gave speeches.
