The International Against Drug Abuse, Illicit Trafficking was observed here with holding different programs in Netrakona on Tuesday .
Netrakona District Administration and District Narcotics Control Department jointly designed various programs in line with the national program to mark the day. As part of the program, a colorful rally was brought out in the district town from Netrakona DC office premises in the morning and the rally was ended there after parading main roads of the town.
A discussion meeting was held at Netrakona Public Hall in the morning. Chaired by additional district magistrate Netrakona Shakhila Dil Hasin, the meeting was addressed, among others, by officiating Deputy Commissioner Netrakona Ariful Islam, additional police super Netrakona SM Ashraful Alam and assistant director of district narcotics control department Ali Haider. The speakers underlined the need for concerted efforts of people of all walks of life side by side of administrative machineries and law enforcing agencies to combat drug abuse, illegal drug trading and it’s trafficking.
