A two-day international conference on ‘Engineering Geology and Environment’ will begin on the Jahangirnagar University (JU) campus today.
JU Geological Sciences Department in association with the International Association of Engineering Geology & Environment (IAEG) will organise the conference at the seminar room of Zahir Raihan auditorium on the campus. “We are going to arrange the programme for the first time on the campus. Students who are interested in study and research on geological fields will be beneficiated from this programme,” Chairman of the Geological Sciences associate professor Mahfuzul Haque told media. The two-day conference will be featured with rally, quiz competitions, research paper presentation for students, poster presentations for engineering research group, discussion on different environment issues, including climate change, geo-engineering and water resource management, and concluding session.
