Int’l confce on Nutrition held at IU

A day-long International Conference on “Role of Nutrition in Health and development” was held at Birsrestha Hamidur Rahman central auditorium of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Saturday.
The Applied Nutrition and Food Technology (ANFT) department of the university organized the conference in association with Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) of the University Grant Commission (UGC). The main objective of the conference was “Proper Nutrition, better health for sustainable growth and Development.”
IU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari addressed as the chief guest while Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr M Shahinoor Rahman and Dean of Applied Science Faculty Prof Dr M Shamsul Alam were present as the special guests.
Professor of Infection Biology department of Tsukuba University in Japan, Dr Misturu Okuwakai, Pro-Vice Chancellor of University of Science and Technology Chittagong, Prof Nurul Absar and Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology department of Rajshahi University, Dr M Khaled Hossain addressed as the keynote speakers.
