An international conference titled ‘Muktijuddher Jon-Etihash’ was held on Wednesday at the Jahangirnagar University (JU).
Jon Etihash Chorcha Kendra of Dhaka University (DU) and JU History Department jointly organised the conference at the seminar room of Zahir Raihan auditorium of the university.
The Chairman of University Grant Commission (UGC) Professor Abdul Mannan inaugurated the conference as the chief guest while Vice-Chancellor (VC) of National University (NU) Prof Harun Ur Rashid addressed the function as special guest.
Prof Mozahidul Islam of JU History Department and Researcher Mustafa Chowdhury delivered keynote speech at the inaugural session of the conference with Chairman of JU History Department Prof Arifa Sultana in the chair. After the inaugural session, a total of 40 research papers were presented into nine sessions.
Teachers of different schools, colleges and Bangladeshi and Indian Universities took part at the conference.
