Under the auspices of the Department of English, East West University (EWU), the 4th international conference was held on the university’s permanent campus in Aftabnagar on Friday. With a view to addressing the contemporary pressing issues of English studies in a globalized world, the department chose the conference title “English Studies and the Marketplace.”
Prof Abdul Mannan, Chairman, University Grants Commission of Bangladesh graced the inauguration session of the conference as the chief guest. Prof M M Shahidul Hassan, Vice Chancellor, East West University was present as the special guest. Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson, Board of Trustees and Founder Vice Chancellor, East West University presided over the session.
