A three-day international conference began at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) on Thursday.
RUET’s Faculty of Civil Engineering is hosting the conference titled “Planning, Architecture and Civil Engineering (ICPACE 2019) aims at creating a unique opportunity for the academics, researchers, professionals and students from home and abroad to present and share their latest research findings and experiences, says a press release. RUET Vice-chancellor Prof Rafiqul Islam Sheikh addressed the opening session as the chief guest with Faculty Dean of Civil Engineering Prof Abdul Alim in the chair.
Prof Irh Look Braitvelt from Netherland’s Diplot University, Prof Mijanur Rahman from Australian University of South, Prof Habibur Rahman from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology and Chief Executive Officer of Barind Multipurpose Development Authority Engineer Abdur Rashid also spoke. In his remarks, Prof Rafiqul Islam said the conference will play a pivotal role towards promoting intellectual and practical development in the field of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Urban Planning.
Large number of famous educationists, professors, researchers and engineers concerned from home and abroad are taking part in the conference.
