Int’l Children Film Festival Jan 24

The 8th International Children’s Film Festival Bangladesh 2015 will be held from January 24 to 30. Apart from Dhaka, the festival will be stretched out simultaneously in six divisional cities of the country. The Film Festival is organised by Children’s Film Society Bangladesh (CFS Bangladesh). The festival will showcases feature, short, animation and documentary film, which are made for and by children below eighteen years old.
The main venue of this festival is Shawkat Osman Auditorium at Central Public Library in the city’s Shahbag area.
This was announced at a press conference held at the Liberation War Museum yesterday where noted educationist Muhammad Jafar Iqbal, noted filmmaker Morshedul Islam, photographer Munira Morshed Munni, among others, were present.
The International Children’s Film Festival Bangladesh specially represents innovative world of film to the children and introduces different countries’ culture and tradition through cinema. Besides, the Festival also encourages and provides basic idea about film to the children.
The events of the Film Festival include – Splendid opening ceremony and colorful rally, Workshop on filmmaking, Seminar on different contemporary issues, Question and answer (Q-A) session with young filmmakers, Meeting with famed personalities, Gala dinner, and Award giving ceremony.
