Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), TIB including Kishoreganj District Administration jointly organised a colourfull rally, discussion, public hearing, posturing, drama and cultural function marking the International Anti-Corruption Day on Friday. A discussion meeting on Together Against Corruption was held at local Collectorate conference room on Friday. Acting Deputy Commissioner Tarafder Md. Akhter Jamil attended as Chief Guest while Anti-Corruption Committee District Senior Vice-President Prof Pranesh Kumer Chowdhury in the chair.
It was addressed among others by Senior Adv Md. Abdur Rahman PP of ACC, former Bar President and PP Adv Shah Azizul Hoque, Saiful Hoque Mollah Dulu of TIB, Principal Prof (Retd.) Rafiqul Islam Khan, Prof M.A. Goni, Mohila Parished President Sultana Rajia, its Secretary adv Maya Bowhmik, Former Headmaster Kahleda Islam, Jatiya Mohila Songstha District Chairman Khaleda Fensi Runa, Saiful Quddes of POPI NGO, CAB President Alam Sarowar Tito, Former Sadar Upazila Vice-Chai Sheikh Selim Kabir, School student Tonmoy Das and Saima Jahan Arpi.
Gafargaon (Mymensingh) Correspondent adds: The International Anti-corruption Day was observed by Upazila Anti-corruption prevention committee at Gafargaon under Mymensingh on Friday .
To mark the day ,Gafargaon Upazila Corruption Prevention Committee arranged a rally, human chain, and a discussion meeting at Shilpokola Academy Auditorium. UNO Shiddhartha Shonkor Kundu was in the chair. Dr K.M Ehsan,president of Gafargaon Upazila Anti-corruption committee was the chief guest in the discussion meeting. Teachers and students from different schools , including people of different professions part took in the function. To make the programme, a colourful rally was brought out from the Zila Parishad Dak Banglo marking the theme of this year is break the corruption chain and paraded the main roads of the town participating upazila administration, municipality, political leaders, journalists teachers, students, businessmen, cultural organizations, officials of Upazila Muktijoddah command councils, officials of upazila and union Anti-corruption committee aiming to raise voice against the growing culture of corruption on the following day. Nurul Islam Shikder, Asst.Headmaster of Gafargaon Govt.Islamia High school, Md.Salim Ullah Mostofa , Asst.Commander of Muktijodda Command Council, Rafiqul Basar,vice-president of upazila Anti-corruption committee delivered their speeches on corruption. The chief guest Dr.K.M.Ehsan Advocate urged the people to come forward raising voice against corruption from own position. UNO Shiddhartha Shonkor Kundu assured the Anti-corruption committee to help them to remove corruption from the society.
