Anti- corruption Commission ,Chattogram chapter begins interrogations to 184 constables so appointed very recently as alleged with employment corruptions. In the meantime in last three days, 45 constables were quizzed .
None among these quizzed constables did not admit any sorts of employment corruptions.Against the vacant posts in Railway security wing , employment notice was published in 2017 .
This employment supposed to be executed in West zone Railway but later it transferred to East Zone for better advantages of bribes so alleged. A 5-members recruitment committee was formed headed by ex-Chief of Railway security force Md. Iqbal Hossain and Commandant Ashabul Islam as member secretary . Other members are Jahirul Islam, SPO Sirajullah, Commandant Fuad Hasan Parag .
The recruitment test was completed in 2018 and result published in August of the same year. After publication of result, a number of candidates complained againstthe employment trade. Finally in 2018, 184 sipahis were appointed . An allegeations of Tk.15 crore arisen against the head of the recruitment committee and hence, investigations are being carried out by ACC,Prime Minister’s cell and Railway Ministry. ACC team quizzed Iqbal Hossain in 2019 and Iqbal Hossain did not answer to the letter of the ACC .It was alleged from different quarters that IqbalHossain has recommended a number of applicants in the post despite non-qualify in the written test.An allegation said one shahdat Hossain ,son of Golam Mostafa of Commilla was appointed on Muktijuddha quota whereas Golam Mostafa not at all FF. After conducting investigations against IqbalHossain so far, ACC find out corruptions of Tk.15 crores . The bribed money of Iqbal Hossain remitted to UsA to the accounts of his brother-in law , probe team reveals . One railway official of East zone railway on condition of anonymity told that much talked Iqbal Hossain has directed the appointees in constable posts not to open their mouth about the bribe matter regarding appointment. As a result, out of 45so quizzed, none opened mouth regarding corruptions of Iqbal Hossain.An official of Chattogram ACC chapter to this correspondent that interrogations against 184 sipahis wll l be held inphases and till now quizzing of 45 completed in the meantime and the remaining will be quizzed later on.
