Mohammedan International School Chess Championship begins tomorrow (Tuesday) at the Auditorium of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited.
Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited will arrange the five-day long chess meet with the assistance of Bangladesh Chess Federation.
To mark the ensuing chess competition, a press conference was held at the Auditorium of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited on Sunday.
Director of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited Sarwar Hossain, General Secretary of Bangladesh Chess Federation Gazi Shayiful Tarique spoke at the conference.
School boys and girls from Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka and Nepal will take part in the chess competition.
The competition will be held in six categories. They are: Class VIII to Class VV (Boys), Class VI to Class VV (Girls), Class V to Class VII (Boys), Class III to Class VI (Boys), Class III to Class V (Girls), and Nursery to Class II (Boys and Girls).
Above 130 students will take part in the chess meet. The winners of the chess competition will get attractive prizes.
