The Walton International Rating Chess Competition begins tomorrow at the Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room.
Bangladesh Chess Federation will arrange the chess meet under auspices of Walton.
A total of 140 chess players will take part in the eight-day long chess competition.
The competition will be held on nine round Swiss-League System basis.
A total of Tk one lakh and twenty thousand will be distributed among the winners.
To mark the ensuing chess tournament, a press conference was held at the conference room of Bangabandhu National Stadium on Thursday.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Chess Federation (BCF) Gazi Shayiful Tarique, Vice-President of BCF KM Shahidullah, Vice-President of the Federation Syed Shahabuddin and First Senior Additional Director of Walton FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn were present at the conference.
