The finals of the Walton Refrigerator National 13th Intermediate and 1st Junior Women’s Boxing competition will be held today at the Mohammad Ali Boxing Stadium in the city.
Parliamentary Standing Committee chairman on Youth and Sports Ministry Zahid Ahasan Russel MP will be the chief guest in the final and distribute the prizes, National Sports Council secretary Shivnath Roy and RB Group additional director head of games and sports FM Iqbal Bib Anwar will present there as the special guests.
Meanwhile in the day’s women’s section semifinals matches, Shamima Khatun of Bangladesh Ansar and Fatema Khatun of Rajshahi district from 36 kg weight categories and Rabeya Akter Mim of Golabari Jubo Sangha of Gopalganj and Ojila Khatun of Mordern Boxing Club from 40 kg weight categories and Irin Parveen of Jessore Boxing Club and Shamima Akter of Bangladesh Ansar from 45 kg weight categories confirmed their final berths after eliminating their respect rivals.
