‘Youth Fiesta 2017,’ an inter-university cultural competition, was held on Ashulia campus of Daffodil International University (DIU) on Friday with the participation of students of 11 public and private universities.
Chief Information Commissioner Prof. Dr. Golam Rahman inaugurated the pompous cultural completion as chief guest in the morning with Anuj Kumar Chakrabarty, Convener, DIU Cultural Club, in the chair.
Speaking on the occasion, he said cultural activities are required for improving life standard of the people.
He thanked the DIU for taking the initiative to inspire the new generation in cultural activities.
He urged all concerned to remain cautious so that the new generation fall prey to the aggression of alien culture.
DIU Trustee Board Chairman M Sabur Khan and noted folk singer Kiron Chando Roy also spoke on the occasion.
The main competition began with the cultural performance by the students of University of Liberal Arts.
