Eastern University (EU) Business and Social Entrepreneurship Club (BSEC) successfully organized the Inter-University Business Case Competition BIZ ACES 2018. A total of 87 teams from different public and private universities participated in this mega event. The final round was held recently at the Dhaka Regency Hotel in the city. The Semi-Final round was held on 24 March 2018 at the Seminar Hall of EU with the participation of top 25 teams. In the final-round a case was given to the participants and they had to solve the case and make PowerPoint presentation. The qualifying teams for the final-round were ACEDIA, 11th Hour, Bounty Seekers, Team TNT, Checkmate, and Speakers.
Team 11th Hour from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) became the champion, while the first and second runners-up were ACEDIA from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) and Checkmate from North South University (NSU) respectively. Engr Kh Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Eastern University was the chief guest of the program, while Rezakul Haider (Monju), Former Chairman, Board of Trustees, Eastern University was the special guest. The session was chaired by Prof Dr Md. Nurul Islam, Vice Chancellor, EU. Prof Dr Raisul Awal Mahmood, Dean, Faculty of Business Administration, Kashfia Sharmin, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Business Administration and convener of the program were present along with others faculty members and students of the Faculty of Business Administration.
The program was sponsored by Petromax LPG and co-sponsor by Australian International School; Media partners of the event were – The Daily Jugantor, Daily the Asian Age, Channel 71, Capital FM and Eduicon.
