Stamford University Bangladesh (SUB) has recently organized a literary fest namely ‘Stamford Inter-University Literature Festival, 2020’. Stamford University Shahittya Forum (SUSF) initiated the event with the cooperation of Seven Rings Cement and Radio Aamar 88.4 FM held at SUB Auditorium of Siddheshwari campus in the city.
Vice-Chancellor of SUB Prof Ali Naqi was present at the program as chief guest while noted Freedom Fighter and Drama and Film Director Nasiruddin Yusuf and renowned poet Nirmalendu Goon were present as special guests and speakers.
Among the judges, reciter Dr Bhaswer Bandopadhyay, reciter Mir Barhat, Emran Mahfuz researcher and Chief Editor of Kaler Dhoni were present. SUB teachers and students were also present in the seminar.
Recitation, quiz, impromptu speech and short story writing contest were held in the fest. Around 80 contestants from 10 different universities took part in this literary fest. After a literary discussion session, prize giving ceremony and cultural program were held.
