The Inter-University Athletics Competition began at the BUET Play Ground on Thursday. A total of 12 public universities have taken part in the three-day long athletics meet.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University (Education) Professor Dr Nasreen Ahmed inaugurated the athletics competition yesterday as the chief guest.
President of the Organizing Committee of the Inter-University Athletics Competition Professor Dr Md Akhteruzzaman presided over the inaugural ceremony. Teachers of different universities, officials of the different universities and participants from the different universities were present at the ceremony.
Tomorrow the competition will come to an end. After the competition Vice-Chancellor of BUET Professor Dr SM Nazrul Islam will distribute the prizes among the winners as the chief guest while Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Professor Dr Sahid Akhter Hussain will be present with him as the special guest.
