The Walton 1st Inter-Shaheen College Hockey Tournament begins today (Saturday) at the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) Shaheen College Dhaka Ground.
Air Vice Marshal Md Abul Bashar will inaugurate the hockey competition today at 10.00 am as the chief guest while First Senior Additional Director of Walton FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn will be present as the special guest.
A total of eight BAF Shaheen Colleges of the country will compete in the six-day long hockey meet. They are: BAF Shaheen College Dhaka, BAF Shaheen College Kurmitola of Dhaka, BAF Shaheen College of Jessore, BAF Shaheen College Pahar Kanchanpur of Tangail, BAF Shaheen College Shamsher Nagar of Sylhet, BAF Shaheen English Medium School and BAF Shaheen College of Chittagong.
The champions of the tournament will be awarded Tk 25,000 while the runners-up will get Tk 15,000.
The Player of the Tournament will be given Tk 5,000 while the highest scorer of the competition will get Tk 5,000.
The hockey tournament will come to an end on October 15.
