An inter-ministerial meeting was held on Sunday in the conference room of Youth and Sports Ministry for successfully hosting ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup 2016 and ICC International Cricket Tournament for peoples with Physical Disabled in Bangladesh.
The U-19 World Cup will be held on January 20 to February 15 next year while ICC International Cricket Tournament for Peoples with Physical Disabled is slated on September 2-10 this year in Dhaka with the participation of the United Kingdom, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan and hosts Bangladesh.
Youth and Sports Secretary Noor Mohammad presided over the meeting.
In the meeting, the Youth and Sports Secretary sought cooperation to the all concern ministries, associations, divisions and offices for successfully hosting the two international events and also emphasized to ensure security of local and foreign players, and officials in their stay during the tournaments.
Bangladesh Cricket Board officials, concern ministry officials and associations were present on the occasion.
