The 4th “Inter-Hall Judo Competition-2017” was held on Wednesday at Gymnasium premises on Dhaka University (DU) campus.
DU Pro Vice-Chancellor (administration) and Chairman of Sports Board Professor M Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the competition as the chief guest on the morning.
Treasurer Professor M Kamal Uddin gave away the prize among the winners at a closing ceremony as the chief guest in the evening, said a DU press release.
DU Judo and Karate Committee President Professor M Fazlur Rahman presided over both the inaugural and prize giving ceremony.
A total of 27 students from four female dormitories and 47 students from 10 male dormitories took part in the competition.
Bangladesh-Kuwait Maitree Hall emerged champion securing three gold medals among the female dormitories while Amar Ekushey Hall emerged champion securing two gold medals and one silver medal among the male dormitories.
Besides, Rokeya Hall became runners-up securing one gold, one silver and one bronze medals among the female dormitories and Bijoy Ekattor Hall became runner up bagging one gold, one silver and one bronze medals among the male dormitories.
