The Inter-Hall Athletics Competition of Dhaka University (DU) began at the central playground of DU on Wednesday.
Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique inaugurated the two-day long sports meet as the chief guest.

Akhtaruzzaman presided over the inaugural ceremony. Provosts of the different halls of DU, residential teachers, senior teachers, officials and representatives of DU were present at the ceremony.
A total of 19 halls of DU are taking part in the sports competition. The competition will come to an end today.
After the competition Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) and President of Sports Board of DU Professor Dr Shahid Akhter Hussain will distribute the prizes among the winners as the chief guest while Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr Nasreen Ahmed will be present with him as the special guest.
