The Inter-Divisional Women’s Handball Competition began on Friday at the Sultana Kamal Women’s Sports Complex in Dhanmondi.
Minister for Information Hasanul Haq Inu, MP inaugurated the sports meet as the chief guest while Vice-President of Bangladesh Olympic Association Md Mizanur Rahman Minu was with him as the special guest.
The officials of Bangladesh Women’s Sports Association were present at the time.
In the day’s matches, Dhaka District team defeated Barisal District team by 24-1 goals, Rangpur District team blanked Sylhet District team by 27-0 goals, Rajshahi District team overcame Jhalokathi District team by 19-1 goals, Panchagarh District team drubbed Faridpur District team by 25-3 goals, Satkhira District team defeated Noagaon District team by 9-4 goals, Narail District team blanked Sylhet District team by 21-0 goals and Rajshahi District team thrashed Faridpur District team by 15-4 goals at the same venue.
