The Popular Life Insurance 17th Inter-District Women’s Volleyball Competition was inaugurated at Nur Hossain National Volleyball Stadium on Monday.
Inspector General of Bangladesh Police Dr Mohammad Javed Patwari inaugurated the volleyball competition as the chief guest, while Managing Director of Popular Life Insurance Company Limited BM Yousuf Ali, Managing Director of Ifad Group Iftekhar Ahmed, Secretary General of Bangladesh Olympic Association Syed Shahed Reza were with him as special guests.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation (BVF) Ashiqur Rahman Miku and other officials of BVF were present at the time.
Chairperson of the Women’s Volleyball Competition and SP of CID Syeda Jannat Ara presided over the inaugural ceremony.
In the day’s matches, Rajshahi District team defeated Jhenaidah District team by 3-0 sets, Rajbari District team overpowered Netrokona District team by 3-0 sets, Khulna District team overcame Gazipur District team by 3-0 sets.
