The Inter-district Judo (women’s) Championship begins today (Friday) at Sultana Kalam Women’s Sports Complex in city’s Dhanmondi area.
Organised by Bangladesh Women’s Sports Association, Railway Minister Mujibul Haque, MP, is expected to inaugurate the two-day meet as chief guest.
Bangladesh Judo Federation president Brigadier (retd.) SK Abu Baker will be present in the inaugural ceremony as special guest.
Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan, MP, is expected to be present as chief guest on the closing day Saturday (November 12) and distribute the prizes.
Harun-Ur-Rashid vice president of Bangladesh Olympic Association and youth and sports secretary of Awami League central executive committee will also be present there as special guest.
