DIU Inter Department Indoor Games Tournament -2016 begins on Sunday at Daffodil International University (DIU). Mr. Hamidul Haque Khan, Treasurer, Daffodil International University inaugurated the Tournament as the chief guest.
Ishaq Miji, Deputy Registrar and Convener , DIU Sport Club and Azharul Islam, Associate Professor of Textile Engineering Department were present among others at the inaugural ceremony.
A total of 500 players both male and female are participating in Table Tennis, Carom, Chess and Computer games competition.
Addressing as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony Hamidul Haque Khan said, to increase sporting culture and practice and develop interaction among the students of the university,
Daffodil International University is organizing this tournament.
He also said from the very beginning Daffodil International University giving highest emphasis on sports besides education and we are trying to build up the university as a sports oriented university and for that all sorts of sports facilities have been setting up gradually.
By this time DIU students have proved their success records in SAF Games, Bangladesh Olympic and many other national and international events.
