The Marcel 2nd Inter-College Women’s Rugby Competition began at Paltan Maidan on Saturday.
Film actor and Brand Ambassador of Marcel Amin Khan inaugurated the rugby meet by releasing the balloons as the chief guest. Operative Director (Head of Sports & Welfare Department) of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, General Secretary of Bangladesh Rugby Union (BRU) Mousum Ali, Joint-Secretary of BRU Sayeed Ahmed, Secretary of the Tournament Committee Parvin Putul were present at the time.
In the day’s matches, Dhaka Commerce College defeated Shaheed Bir Uttam Lieutenant Anwar Girls’ College by 10-5 points, Central Women’s College drew with Narayanganj College by 5-5 points, Home Economics College overcame Central Women’s Hostel team by 10-5 points, Shaheed Bir Uttam Lieutenant Girls’ College blanked Cambrian College by 10-0 points, Central Women’s College defeated Central Women’s Hostel team by 45-10 points, Dhaka Commerce College beat Cambrian College by 10-5 points.
