The Eastern University Inter-College Rugby Competition began on Thursday at the Paltan Maidan.
National Sports Award Winner and former captain of Bangladesh National Cricket team Raqibul Hasan inaugurated the rugby meet by releasing the balloons as the chief guest while Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Eastern University Professor Dr Abdul Hannan Chowdhury was with him as the special guest. General Secretary of Bangladesh Rugby Federation (BRF) Mousum Ali, Joint-Secretary of BRF Sayeed Ahmed and Secretary of the Tournament Committee Mojibur Rahman were present at the time.
Cambrian College, Adamjee Cantonment College, Dhaka Commerce College and Yakub Ali School & College won their respective matches at the same venue on the same day.
