Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud called on the artists to instill human values and patriotism in the new generation through their works.
“We are making rapid progress in infrastructure development. Now we have to give more emphasis on building a developed nation having human values and patriotism,” he said this recently while speaking at an art exhibition on Bangabandhu in the National Museum auditorium in the city.
The minister said: “With the technological advancement, we, the human beings, are also turning into ‘machine’. We are being self-centric. We will have to get rid of this state.”
Hasan urged the artists and social workers to help develop human qualities among the youths who will lead the nation in the coming days.
Tarunya Kotha, a youth platform, arranged the exhibition having 100 artworks on Bangabandhu by 81 artists at the Nalinikanto Bhattashali Gallery of the museum.
