The Ministry of Information yesterday signed annual performance agreement (APA) with its 14 departments and organizations.
The agreement was signed by Information Secretary Mortuza Ahmed with all the heads of departments under the Information Ministry at the conference room of the ministry in presence of Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu. Describing the APA as very important for any organizations, the information minister said it will ensure greater transparency and accountability to the bodies concerned alongside bringing dynamism to their work.
“The APA would help increase efficiency of the officials and employees of the organizations concerned of the ministry,” he hoped.
Managing Director and Chief Editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Abul Kalam Azad signed the APA on behalf of the national news agency.
The chiefs of Bangladesh Television (BTV), Bangladesh Betar, Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB), Bangladesh Film Archive, Bangladesh Film Censor Board, Bangladesh Film and Television Institute, Press Information Department (PID), Mass Communication Department and Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) and the Press Council put signature on the agreements on behalf of their respective organizations.
