Information Minister recites Kushum’s poem

Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu recited a poem titled Bibostro Swadhinata written by popular actress, Lux superstar Kushum Shikdar at ongoing Ekushey Boi Mela in Dhaka University.
The Information Minister was present as the chief guest at the launching ceremony of Kushum Shikdar’s written first poem book titled Nil Café-r Kobi in the book fair on Tuesday. He also recited a poem from Kushum’s book in the launching ceremony.
While unveiling cover of the book the Information Minister said, “It is no doubt that Kushum should get appreciation for publishing the book because it is really difficult task to continue writing besides acting. Therefore, it is her courageous effort to compile her written poems and also to publish a book. I am wishing Kushum’s success. I believe that the readers will like the book.”
Published under the banner of Annwesha Prokashoni, while sharing her feelings about the book Kushum told this correspondent, “When I was a student of Class IX in Mohammadpur Preparatory School I first wrote a poem. My written second poem titled Bikiron got the place in my published book. Readers will get the poem of lifestyle, memorabilia, etc in the book. Many incidents, which took place in my life, also inspired me to write poems. I hope readers will enjoy to read the poems of my book.”
There are 34 poems in the book Nil Café-r Kabbyo. End of this month shooting of Goutam Ghosh’s directed film Shonkhochil will start. In this film, for the first time Kushum Shikdar is going to perform against Kolkata’s evergreen hero Proshenjit, Kushum said.
