Information Minister attends TV Journalists’ Association installation ceremony

Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud said that there were many problems in the media. The present government is working to resolve the problem. The government is doing what it needs to keep the country’s television industry alive.
Minister attend as Chief Guest at the Engineers Institute on the inauguration of the new executive committee of Chittagong TV Journalists’ Association on Tuesday.
Information Minister added , that increase in the number of televisions has increased income source. A large part of the advertisement of the country was on the foreign channel .
 Television owners on this plea have decided to shorten their broadcasting areas. The trimming process is often used to reduce costs. The government is keeping an eye on these issues. Currently working to stop advertising in foreign channels
The minister said, there has been a lot of development in the last ten years of Bangladesh’s media. Especially the electronic media has improved much more than ever before. Ten years ago, the number of television channels in the country was only ten. But the number of channels currently 34 .
There are more than just waiting for the broadcast to come. Not just electronic media, print and online media has also improved in the last ten years.
In order to serve the media, he also advised to remain alert about misrepresentation.
Presided over by TV Journalists Association President Nasir Uddin Tota and publicity Secretary Anupam Shil conducted the programme.
