Minister of Information and Broadcasting and the Joint General Secretary of the Awami League Dr. Hasan Mahmud has claimed that all the achievements of Bangladesh have been under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina and the Awami League.
The information minister was the chief guest at the handover ceremony of land and houses among the beneficiaries of Betagi Bahalpur Shelter Project in Rangunia upazila of Chittagong on Sunday. Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the program of providing semi-pucca houses with two hundred acres of land in Rangunia thru’ teleconference from Ganobhaban.
Rangunia Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Masudur Rahman and beneficiary Jahanara Begum responded by speaking directly to the Prime Minister.
The UNO informed the Prime Minister that the construction of two semi-detached houses along with two decimals of land had been handed over to 175 homeless extremely poor families in Rangunia in two phases and some more houses were being constructed by the party.
Chittagong Divisional Commissioner Kamrul Hasan, DIG Anwar Hossain, Deputy Commissioner Mominur Rahman, Superintendent of Police SM Rashidul Haque, District Council Chairman MA Salam, Civil Surgeon Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, Rangunia Upazila Chairman Swajan Kumar Talukder, Mayor Shahjahan Sikder, North District Krishak League General Secretary Shafiqul Islam, Upazila Awami League Vice-President Abdul Monaf Sikder, General Secretary Engineer Shamsul Alam Talukder, Awami League leader Mohammad Selim, Gias Uddin Khan Swapan, UP Chairman Nur Qutbul Alam among others were present.
