State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak today said the entrepreneurs of 4,550 Union Digital Centers (UDCs) will inform the multidimensional development activities of the government in rural areas to the people.
“The government is providing training to 10,000 entrepreneurs of UDC on writing reports and features for developing them as info leaders,” he said this at a workshop jointly organized by Trinomuler Tathyajanala Programme of ICT Division and Tathyaseba Barta Sangstha (TSB) at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference room.
Presided over by Dr. Mohmmad Mehedi Hasan the function was addressed, among others, by senior journalist Ajit Kumar Sarkar, Deputy Commissioner Shahina Khatun and Administrator of Natore Zila Parishad Advocate Sajedur Rahman Khan.
Palak said the government has a plan to turn into all the 4,550 UDCs as mini business process outsourcing (BPO) Centers in future. The government has also been providing training to build capacity of the entrepreneurs of UDCs on outsourcing and e-commerce.
He also said after getting the training the info leaders will continuously provide information on local development, tradition and culture, agriculture, education, health and success stories to the people.
