Jhenaidah Correspondent :Some influential people in a village at Madhuhati UP in Jhenaidah Sadar upazila have allegedly occupied the land properties belonging to Ziala Government Primary School. They had constructed at least 32 shops. The school was established on 29 decimals of land in 1972.Atiar Rahman, President of Ziala Government Primary School managing committee alleged, some local influential people including Abdul Mannan, Sohel Rana, Anwar Hossain, Fazlur Rahman and some others have been occupying the school lands from 1999. The influential established at least 32 permanent shops in school land and given rent to others for their personal interests.He also added, some of the land grabbers had prepared fake documents against their names and subsequently occupied the lands, where four teachers had been serving for a total of 284 learners of the locality. Rezaul Islam, Headmaster of Ziala Government Primary School when contacted, said that they occupiers were most powerful in the area. The present upazila education officer Masud Kabir when contacted said, the matter was informed to the authority concern for taking necessary steps against the illegal occupiers. Former upazila primary education officer of Jhenaidah Sadar GM Kamal had already visited the school on last 9 March in 2015 and submitted a probe reports then.
