The Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun MP on Saturday visited the Eastern Cables Limited (ECL) , an enterprise of the Bangladesh steel and Engineering Corporation (BSEC) in Patenga.
The BSEC Chairman and the Additional Secretary Mizanur Rahman, Ushamaoy Chakma, MD of ECLand the senior officials of the Ministry and the ECl were present on the occasion.
Later on the Minister attended a view exchange meeting with the officials of the organization.
In his address, the Industries Minister assured the workers and the employees of the organization of not privatization of the public enterprise and the only Electric cables producing industry of the country.
He also assured them of resolving all the problems now facing the Industry.
The Eastern Cables Limited was set up in 1967 to produce electric cables and conductors.
