CMP launches eviction drive

Chittagong Bureau :The Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) on Sunday launched an eviction drive against the illegal makeshift shops in the city. Around 120 members of CMP with the help of Chittagong City Corporation evicted more than one thousand illegal establishments, including makeshift shops, from Dewanhat intersection to Cement Crossing intersection of the city. Contacted, AKM Shahidur Rahman, Additional Commissioner of CMP told journalists that they, as part of the drive, cleared all obstacles including makeshift shops to ensure smooth traffic movement...
